• The unicorn everyone is searching for… a chunky, good-doing Thoroughbred with a genuine brain.

✨🤎 SONIC THE UNICORN EVERYONE IS SEARCHING FOR 🤎✨

10 years old | 16.1/16.2hh | Bay Thoroughbred Gelding | Herefordshire

A chunky, good-doing Thoroughbred with a genuine brain, an enormous amount of experience and the ability to be both your best friend and a seriously fun competition horse.

Sonic is not your typical Thoroughbred. He is substantial, handsome, incredibly versatile and has an extensive portfolio behind him.

He has hunted, hound exercised, evented, showjumped, done XC, fun rides, dressage and miles of hacking, both alone and in company. He hacks on the buckle, leads our breakers and is ridden by numerous different riders here.

He is currently jumping 90cm, rarely touches a pole and never says no. He is more than ready to step up to 1m, while his dressage scores regularly sit around the 70% mark and he is ready to contest Novice tests.

He absolutely LOVES his jumping. Give him a job and you see him light up. 🔥

🤎 FULL TRANSPARENCY

Sonic came back to us around four weeks ago after simply not settling in his new home.

Since returning, we have put him through our assessments again and taken him back out into numerous different environments — and he has been completely his normal self.

Sometimes a horse and rider simply aren’t the right match. It doesn’t necessarily mean there is anything wrong with either of them.

With Sonic, you tend to know very quickly whether he clicks with a rider.

He needs someone experienced, sympathetic and kind who will build a relationship with him rather than try to bully or rough-handle him. Give him that partnership, plenty of turnout, consistent work and a job to enjoy, and you get the Sonic that we all absolutely adore.

He is fit, ready to go and doesn’t need somebody to spend months getting him going — he needs somebody to go and ENJOY him.

And because I want his advert to be completely transparent: yes, Sonic can have a spook. Every horse can, but it’s being said so there are absolutely no surprises.

He is enthusiastic and loves life, so although he is straightforward and ridden by a variety of people here, he is not being advertised as a novice ride. He deserves a competent, experienced rider who appreciates a horse with some blood, personality and enthusiasm.

His attitude is what makes him so special:

✨ Genuine and willing

✨ Bold and brave to a fence

✨ Loves having a job

✨ Hacks alone & in company

✨ Hunting experience

✨ XC & low-level eventing experience

✨ Consistent in different environments

✨ Fit and ready to go

✨ No injuries or vices

He can be the horse who hacks along happily on the buckle one day and comes alive as a proper competition horse when you ask the next.

Sonic genuinely is one of my absolute favourites on the yard, and he is also the firm favourite of one of our 14-year-old riders. That probably says more about his character than I ever could. 🥹🤎

I am in absolutely no rush with this horse. His next home needs to be the right one: somewhere he will be adored, understood, kept busy and allowed to build a proper bond with his person.

He has so much to give the right rider.

Come, ride him, spend some time with him and see whether you’re his person. 🤎

What a stunner! Frank is an absolutely gorgeous guy ready to impress you.

With his three quality paces and a big powerful jump, he would be an ideal candidate to take eventing in the spring.

He is equally talented enough for pure showjumping, and having hunted and jumped young horse classes up to 1.10m in Ireland before being sold to the UK, he is equally able to pick up any of these jobs again for the winter.

Frank hacks alone and in company and is sensible in traffic. He schools well on the flat, is responsive to the aids and has serious power off the floor over fences. You will surely never run out of scope!

For the past year, Frank was partnered with a teenager who has mostly focused on his flat work, hacking and has jumped occasionally. He is now looking for his next person to have fun with.

Don’t miss the opportunity to have this amazing horse just because he’s an ex racehorse. I’d pick him over a warmblood any day.

Absolutely cracking TB gelding available, 9 years old, 16 hh.

I don't know where to start with this super fun little horse he is one of the easiest horses to do, travels well, stands on his own in the trailer at a show, good to shoe and clip, hacks alone or in company. Just a pleasure to have around, stick food in front of him and you're onto a winner!

He came out of racing after a win over hurdles and also placed chasing, end of October 2024 due to me convincing the trainer he’s too good a jumper to be a race horse and needs to be a snow jumper.

Jumping 90cm easily, I don’t do BSJA hence why he hasn’t been registered but he is more than capable of jumping the BS tracks and has a very carful, scopey jump for the bigger tracks.

Everyone loves him at shows and training saying what a nice horse he is and then I can hear when he jumps is WOW!

Has also been to BSJA and Thoughbred aftercare programme training where he behaves really well. Eligible for ROR and moves well on the flat, meaning he could also excel in the show ring and dressage. He has been shown in-hand in hack and ROR classes.

He has been Cross country schooling and Arena XC schooling. Really good in the big open field, jumped everything that was asked and loved going through the water.

We did meet up with the Hunt whilst out hacking and joined them so a bit which he loved. Didn’t mind leaving the field to hack back home on his own.

Just a great all round horse that i know would excel in the right home. He’s very chilled out and relaxed with turn out, I almost feel I need to oat him up he’s so relaxed. Does perk up more at a show than at home. He is sharper without turn out but what horse isn’t? So Wouldn't be a complete novices ride. He’s good to turn out on his own or with others.

He goes in a rubber bit and loves a very light contact with confidence coming from the leg. Once he gets that bond and trust with his rider he’d do anything for them.

He came straight out of racing and to a show and didn't put a foot wrong, behaving like pro. Just showing what a fabulous attitude he has, just can't sing his praises enough.

Up to date with physio, teeth, shoeing etc. No stable vices

Never lame, sick or sorry just a fun horse looking for a fun owner to carry on with!

Revel is a Dark Bay, 18 hh, 9 Year Old Gelding, Warmblood.

Revel is a homebred gelding - therefore we know his full history, we actually also bred his mother Trixie (Handel's Whisper) and bred many foals from his grandmother Poppy who have all gone on to do very well in the evening world. Revel has been professionally broken in, and has very low milage for his age, he is a super genuine horse who is kind natured and very affectionate, he is currently out on hound exercise where he really excels - he is being hunted by a small female - but has been hunted by a man - who quote "jumped everything in sight and was a real machine " We therefore feel he would be an excellent horse for a man - strong female to hunt / team chase etc

He lives in and out, hacks out, good in traffic.

He has excellent paces and produces a really nice dressage test, due to his size and his breeding he is an impressive horse, he is well put together and forward going, very responsive off your leg, therefore he is not at all for novices or beginners - he is a serious stamp of a horse and we would love to find him a competition / hunting home for him where he can do a job.

He is exceptionally bold and brave around a course, over rustic and coloured fences, over hedges gates - you name it he will jump it. Revel has recently been ridden by a small female teenager and as you can see from the videos he is exceptionally honest in all ways.

Bravo is a gorgeous 15.2hh, 9 year old, Dark bay gelding who we imported from Belgium and we have owned from a 2 year old.

Bravo was professionally broken in and has excellent paces, he is totally unspoilt, very low milage, over the years we have had so much fun producing him and he is currently out competing at BSJA level where he is really enjoying his job, this summer he has been to many different shows where we have competed him at BSJA

(On a ticket) he has jumped on grass, on surface and indoor.

He has been on pleasure rides and beach rides.

He is a super fun all rounder - and would suit someone who wanted a PC/ RC horse to go and have some fun with - although he is small he isn't a child horse, he is a serious prospect, with excellent breeding and due to his low milage he is still coming on with his education.+

Bravo enjoys jacking out and is good in traffic, he is really good to do in all ways and up to date with everything, teeth, physio etc

Jumping a course of show jumps and cross country schooling show scopey and careful. Attended many of training shows and arena hires. Currently starting hound exercises.

Exceptional temperament and is incredibly easy to handle both at home and away. He is good to shoe, clip, load and hack, and is a real gentleman in every way.

Joey is a nice mover with a good brain and is sensible without being sharp or hot. He is a bold, careful and athletic jumper, showing great confidence and technique, producing consistent results at 100 - double clears & low-30s dressage. Jumped clear round a tough Novice track recently and is also ridden & competed by friends.

He is an exciting prospect for someone looking for a quality grassroots / Amateur / Pony club / tetrathlon / hunting / showjump - the perfect All rounder!

By Chacfly PS (1.45m jumper) out of a mare called 'Zidermie SR' who is also mother to 1.45m jumper 'Gotcha Z' & 1.40m jumper 'Pretender Z'

Teddy loves fuss and attention, he will stand to be groomed and pampered for hours. He is light in the contact & rides well on the flat, working in a good outline in all three paces. Flying changes established, with the potential to develop his lateral work further. He would achieve good scores in a dressage test with the potential to go far.

Teddy is a good jumper, making a nice shape over a fence.

Has schooled upto 1.10m in current home. Jumped upto 1.10m at shows with winnings of £294 and 258 points with petite girl in previous home. Where he competed at Pony of the Year Show, The BS Spring Championships & several big venues.

Has been jumping round upto 90cm with current owner/rider in training.

He appreciates a quiet rider with soft hands & takes the leg well whilst remaining forward.

Teddy hacks out alone and in company, can be spooky but nothing a confident rider can't sort & with more consistent hacking he will improve.

Would happily hunt or team chase aswell as event as he has jumped XC fences too.

Teddy will stand/ride/travel next to any horse.

Travels in a lorry or trailer, easy to load.

Currently shod all round.

Ridden by both male and female riders.

• JW is a lightly raced ex-National Hunt horse
• Permenant rehoming
• Eligible for RoR registration and classes

Very special home wanted for JW - permanent rehoming. No moneys will change hands unless you want rugs

Due to a genuine lack of time, I am looking for an experienced, long-term home for my much-loved ex-racehorse, JW.

JW’s registered racing name is Jacks Wish. He is a 6 and 16.2 Thoroughbred gelding, born on 15 May 2020 and currently based near Preston, Lancashire. He was homebred by my uncle and is incredibly special to our family, so finding the right person is far more important than finding somebody quickly.

He is by Jack Hobbs, out of Camillas Wish. His dam had a successful National Hunt career, winning five races under rules - two over hurdles and three over fences, as well as a point-to-point.

JW is a lightly raced ex-National Hunt horse. He was trained by Nigel Twiston-Davies and had only three starts:

• 6th of 13 in a National Hunt Flat race at Huntingdon

• 5th of 11 in a National Hunt Flat race at Bangor-on-Dee

• One run over hurdles at Market Rasen

He never raced in a chase or over steeplechase fences.

JW raced in our family’s Proos racing colours, the same colours also carried by Broadway Boy, our much-loved six-time winner and Grand National runner who gave our family some unforgettable days in racing.

As JW has raced under rules, he is eligible for RoR registration and classes, subject to the new keeper completing the necessary registration and membership requirements.

JW has spent time at the British Thoroughbred Retraining Centre and has since been carefully and patiently retrained. He is now lovely on the long reins and is sensible enough for my experienced 13-year-old daughter, Summer, to ride. I have recent videos of both Summer and an experienced adult rider, Lauren, riding him, which I am happy to share with genuine enquiries.

He has three lovely, expressive paces. His schooling is still fairly basic because I simply haven’t had the time to develop it, but we genuinely believe he has the movement and potential to excel in dressage with the right experienced person.

Summer has occasionally popped him over a fence and he has been perfectly happy to do so, but he has not been extensively schooled or produced as a jumping horse.

JW hacks very well in company with another sensible horse, but he does not currently hack alone. He needs a confident, experienced adult who understands Thoroughbreds and will continue building his confidence. He is not suitable for a novice.

A Chifney is recommended when loading, and he should be loaded by an experienced handler who understands how to use one correctly.

Medical and behavioural history

Before receiving treatment, JW could nap and become upset under saddle. He was subsequently diagnosed with kissing spines and underwent successful surgery in April 2025 at Hirds

He has since completed a careful rehabilitation programme, is comfortable through his back and moves freely. His SI is assessed and normally injected approximately once each year. This must be continued whenever clinically recommended.

More recently, JW sustained a tendon-sheath injury. This has been treated and he is now back hacking as part of a gradual return to work. His new home must be prepared to continue building his strength and fitness steadily, following physio advice and without rushing him.

His complete veterinary history will be disclosed and discussed openly with genuinely interested people. Nothing will be hidden because I want the arrangement to be safe and right for JW and his new home.

He would suit somebody wanting to enjoy hacking in company, careful schooling and developing a genuine partnership with a lovely, sensitive Thoroughbred. Any future workload, jumping or competition plans must be guided by his progress and veterinary advice. He is not being advertised as a ready-made competition horse. Although he has the potential with the right rider.

The right home must:

• Be experienced with Thoroughbreds and horses returning to work

• Be happy to hack him in company rather than alone

• Continue his rehabilitation carefully

• Provide suitable turnout and equine companionship

JW is a lovely horse who deserves somebody with the time and experience to enjoy and develop him properly. With three children and my daughter’s busy competition schedule, I simply cannot give him the consistency he deserves.

Serious, knowledgeable enquiries only, please. When messaging, please include your riding experience, intended plans for JW, location, yard and turnout arrangements.

JW can come with a fitted saddle. Either GP or Dressage but the saddles are not gifted with the horse they will come with a price

Sale or Loan

H Bomb (Finn) raced as a 2yo and retired sound due to being too slow, ROR Eligible. He is out Mothers Finest by the stunning Pearl Secret and definitely has his fathers looks! His full history is known.

He is a lovely, naturally talented horse who produces a nice dressage test and a naturally scopey jump. He is currently schooled up to novice level dressage, with the ability and potential to progress further in the right hands. He is a willing and trainable horse on the flat and would suit someone wanting to continue developing his schooling alongside another more adventurous discipline.

Finn has been produced with the idea of eventing in mind for his future, however he has decided that this is not the career that he wants, and doesn’t have any confidence in a competition environment and therefore a different job would allow him to thrive and get the most out of him. He jumps for fun at home and schools round a 1.05/1.10 course with ease. But out in a show environment he will stop and not complete a course.

His real passion is getting out and about and galloping across the countryside with friends. He competed in the autumn 2025 team chasing season at novice level and has just jumped clear round the 2026 Belvoir novice, being in the fastest team of the day. He easily has the ability to progress to intermediate level and speed classes with the right rider. Would be good for some who enjoys fun rides and cantering around the countryside for fun.

He has hunted with the bloodhounds previously, and does find this very exciting and doesn’t like to walk or stand, however is very well behaved in all other aspects. He just likes to get on with it.

Loves his hacking alone and in company, good with most traffic. Sensible in open fields on a hack.

He has no vices. He prefers to be out in the field as much as possible, but can happily be stabled too, as long as he is first out in the mornings. He is looking for a knowledgeable, confident home where his individual character will be appreciated.

Good to load and travel on 3.5t up to 18t

Good to catch, clip, dentist, vet and shoe (amazing non-thoroughbred feet, previously barefoot), up to date with everything including physio

Previously scoped and treated for ulcers and is fed with this in mind.

Open to loan or offers for the perfect home
