HORSES WANTED – LOVING HOMES FOUND

Thinking of selling your horse but dreading the process?

The endless phone calls, time-wasters, missed viewings, strangers coming to the yard, costly sales livery and sometimes still no sale at the end of it.

We offer a different way.

We buy horses directly, offering a quick, straightforward and hassle-free sale, with prompt collection and fair trade prices.

But most importantly, we care about where every horse ends up.

Horses that come to us aren’t simply stood in a sales yard waiting for their next owner. Their time with us is spent enjoying life — happy hacking, trips to the beach, hunting and generally being horses.

We take the time to get to know each one, understand what they enjoy and work out what sort of job and home will suit them best. Then we find them their person — the right human and the right home for their next chapter.

Previous owners are welcome to stay in touch and follow their horse’s journey with their new family. We understand how important it is to know that a much-loved horse has landed on their feet.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

15.2hh plus

4–15 years old

Chunkier types particularly wanted — the chunkier the better

Genuine riding horses looking for their next job

Vices and quirks are not necessarily deal-breakers, but they must be honestly declared. We would always rather have an open conversation about a horse and decide whether they are right for us.

Fair trade prices offered with prompt collection available.

Please understand that although we are happy to consider horses with quirks, we are not a dumping ground or a way to simply get rid of bad stock. Honesty is essential. We are looking for genuine horses that deserve the opportunity to find the job and person that suit them.

A simple, stress-free sale for you, a happy time with us, and the right home at the end of it.

Please get in touch with an honest description, photos and videos of your horse. Prices must be realistic please.

No words can describe how incredible this little horse is.

I have had the pleasure of sharing the past 9 with Pingu.

She has taken me wherever I have wanted to go and beyond.

Unfortunately, my circumstances have changed, and I can no longer give her the time she deserves.

I am therefore looking for a long-term loan home or would consider selling her, ideally with an agreed option to buy her back.

Greannastown Vivendi Girl - “Pingu”

13-year-old mare, measured at 15.1hh

Pingu came over to the UK in March following a year off at our family home in Ireland, where most of her competition career has been based.

A few career highlights:

☆Qualified and competed at HOYS -Intermediate WHP

☆1st at Portman Horse Trials - PC110

☆Qualified and competed at Dublin Horse Show - Intermediate WHP

☆Irish Pony Club Open Eventing League Champion, with three consecutive Open eventing wins

☆1st in the YES Junior/Young Event Rider series in 2020

☆Showjumped up to 1.20m

☆3rd at Rosanna -Eventing Ireland EI110, 2023

☆Well schooled on the flat, with established lateral movements

And the list goes on…

She has no vices, is easy to do in every way and is an absolute pleasure to be around.

A good home is absolutely paramount.

Please note although pingu is well seasoned she is a specialist horse and requires a well schooled rider, Please no novice riders or day dreamers.

Thank you.

Seeking my next perfect pony! Must haves between - 14.2h and 15.2h, between - 6 and 15 , although would change for the perfect one.

Needs to be within 2 and a half hours of Derbyshire. would go further for the perfect one

MUST be safe around traffic , farm machinery , farm animals ( as I live on a farm ), happy hacking , schooling , fun rides , smaller jumps , local shows - showing , dressage etc

All year round turn out on private land , living with a Connie gelding and mini Shetland gelding ( can be in separate field)

Massive stables roughly 4 times bigger than an average one ! videos and pictures can be provided

Lots of land to hack around.

My preferred breed is a chunky traditional Connemara just because I love the breed so much my previous Connemara gave me so much but he is retired now , but would consider something else that fits the bill , but Connies really are my fav !

I previously had a bad accident with my last pony on the road with a tractor and my confidence is very low , it's very important that my next pony is very safe confidence giver. I am aware no horse is perfect but I don't want anything sharp or spooky and nothing that bolts , rears or bucks , strong etc

more woah than go

I would prefer no health issues but if it's something slight I will consider.

more must haves are good loading , good for farrier , dentist , for leading and for the vet.

I have had weekly dressage lessons for over a year and then monthly lessons with jumping the year before , spent a lot of time hacking ,before my accident. I have had horses for many years and was a competent rider until my accident where I lost confidence.

I am aware this is a lot to ask for but I know somewhere they must be one for me :) genuine 10 star home awaits thanks !

**Novice Welsh Cob Stallion Available for Lease**

An exciting prospect for an ambitious rider, this quality Welsh Cob stallion has been professionally backed and brought on this year. He is now ready for someone to take him further. He shows promise over jumps as well as on the flat, and would make a fabulous M&M working hunter.

Already successful in hand, he recently attended his first ridden show, where he was placed and impressed with his manners and potential.

By the late great, Glanvyrnwy Temptation, he has exceptional breeding and the traditional stamp that is increasingly hard to find. For someone with HOYS ambitions, this is an opportunity to bring on a promising stallion without buying outright.

Available **for lease only**. He can remain at his current yard near Macclesfield, Cheshire, if preferred. Please get in touch for further details; terms to be agreed.

  • 13hh - 15 2hh
  • RDA centre needing LWVTB/Loan
  • Temperament is more important than breed

We are looking for any breed for LWVTB as they will need to be trialled in our RDA environment before purchasing to see if they're suited to this lifestyle before a participant can ride them. This is as much for the ponies as the suitability for riders.

Must already be ridden and has to be over 5 yrs old (RDA rules). Can accept some quirks but must be safe for our disabled riders. They will also have to pass a stage 2 vetting which can be arranged whilst on loan.

We can offer a high standard of care, a light work load so older ages are acceptable if sound.

We have stables but they live out as much as possible even throughout winter. We can offer small herd/individual turnout.

If you would like to check out our RDA centre we are online and Facebook as Elisabeth Curtis Centre.
