Miss Banks is an incredibly sweet, quiet and genuine young horse who has been an absolute pleasure to have on the yard. She came over from Ireland 5 weeks ago and has impressed us from day one with her lovely attitude towards everything asked of her.

For a 4yo Ms Banks really is exceptionally quiet and sensible. She has such a level-headed outlook on life, never looking to make a fuss and always willing to please. She’s the sort of horse that makes you forget just how young she is!

Ms Banks has three lovely paces, with a particularly beautiful canter. She sweetly on the flat, is naturally well balanced and is proving to be a quick and willing learner, nice of the leg but not sharpe.

Ms Banks is very good out alone and in company and is absolutely perfect in open spaces. She’s a really enjoyable little horse to take out and about, with a sensible attitude beyond her years.

Ms Banks attended her first show jumping competition recently and was an absolute superstar! She took the whole experience in her stride, behaving beautifully and giving her rider a lovely, confident round. A fantastic first outing and a real credit to her temperament.

Ms Banks is going to make a fantastic little all-rounder, riding club or pony club type. She’s got a wonderful brain, a lovely willing attitude and so much potential for someone to continue producing.

Horses with such a genuine, quiet temperament at this age are worth their weight in gold, and Ms Banks really is a lovely example of this.

Poppy is a true gem of a slightly overgrown pony. She has three utterly beautiful paces. Produced slowly by us for the last year she has done a bit of everything including showing, eventing, dressage, show jumping, pony club and loves to hack out alone or in company.

Her last three dressage scores eventing have been sub 30’s and she’s been placed at each unaff event we’ve done with her always jumping clear xc and proving VERY brave. She is not phased by any filler , water tray etc. we have also done the workers with her. And some coloured flat showing, she is CHAPS reg and was 5th at RWHS in very good company with lovely comments from the judges.

She’s been competing at 90, but ready to step up now to 100’s.

A loving home is paramount as we adore this little mare.

Only for sale as she doesn’t have quite enough timber for the workers which is our daughters main discipline.

Luna - 14/14.1 (just in between), 5 year old cob mare.

Lovely allrounder type who is proving to be a sensible sort. Takes the leg well and is chunky so will take an adult.

Fun little cob that’ll give anything a go. Working all 3 paces in arena, not turbo charged but not a complete kick along. Doesn’t mind a wobble or a double bounce here and there and isn’t a spooky type. I hate the phrase bombproof but she’s as close as you can get. Hacks alone or in company, good in traffic and with the farm machinery around the place here.

Good in open spaces, enjoys a good canter through the field. Started to pop some XC fences and was such a lot of fun, showed her what to do and then she just popped around with her ears pricked really enjoying it!

Luna has been with an RDA centre for the last 5 months so has had a really good education. Before that she was with a private home and had done lots of hacking so she’s been well started. Stands quietly to mount and isn’t phased by much. The only reason she’s for sale is that she is a bit more of a one to one pony and can be cheeky with unconfident/very novice handlers. She’s a cob and will take the mick if she can like most (I’m going to that bit of grass over there, no I don’t have to move back when you ask)! Nothing nasty at all. We’ve had no issues at all with her, set the boundaries from the start and she’s great she’s been a pleasure to have around.

Good to catch, shoe, bath. Can stand for a minute and think about loading but goes on when she knows she has too.

Passed a 5 stage vetting when purchased.

Could possibly suit a competent novice with the right help and support around them.

She will walk, trot and canter in the arena, although she is much more of a laid-back, steady type and doesn’t have a huge amount of enthusiasm for schooling. She would therefore suit someone looking for a reliable hacking companion rather than a competition or schooling prospect.

She is a lovely character with a kind nature and is good to have around the yard. She is easy to handle and enjoys attention, making her a nice horse to spend time with.

She does need to be tied up for the vet and farrier, as if held rather than tied she can pull away, so this is something a prospective home would need to be comfortable with.

Seeking my next perfect pony! Must haves between - 14.2h and 15.2h, between - 6 and 15 , although would change for the perfect one.

Needs to be within 2 and a half hours of Derbyshire. would go further for the perfect one

My preferred breed is a chunky traditional Connemara just because I love the breed so much my previous Connemara gave me so much but he is retired now , but would consider something else that fits the bill , but Connies really are my fav !

I previously had a bad accident with my last pony on the road with a tractor and my confidence is very low , it's very important that my next pony is very safe confidence giver. I am aware no horse is perfect but I don't want anything sharp or spooky and nothing that bolts , rears or bucks , strong etc

I have had weekly dressage lessons for over a year and then monthly lessons with jumping the year before , spent a lot of time hacking ,before my accident. I have had horses for many years and was a competent rider until my accident where I lost confidence.

This super smart boy has active, fluent paces, with compact good looks and plenty of presence. He was bred in Ireland, bought as an unbroken three year old by previous lady owner based in Warwickshire. In her capable hands he was slowly brought on to be a good allrounder having been out show jumping, cross country, hunting, fun rides etc. 

He was lightly shown both in affiliated novice flat and WHP classes, finishing 3rd at his first county show. He has also done a little dressage where he consistently achieved upwards of 68% every time out. As a five year old he qualified for and finished 4th in the British Connemara Eventing Finals. Theo is a beautiful boy with loads of feather, plenty of bone and the loveliest kind nature he is wonderful cobs like him don’t come along that often definitely a yard favourite.

Despite his age, Theo is a sensible steady type and is much more a kick-along steady ride rather than forward going. He is a lovely level - headed young horse who enjoys to be with people and enjoys hacking and been fussed with.

He hacks out alone and in company. He has seen cars, bikes, heavy farm machinery, dogs cattle and takes them all in his stride. He is good with all horse mares and geldings very gentle and kind.

He has been to the beach loads and travels lovely.

Theo is very green in the school due to his age and stage of his education. He is still learning and needs someone who is happy to continue his schooling and bring him on. For this reason he wouldn’t be suitable for a complete novice despite his steady nature. He stands lovely at the mountain block for his rider.

On the ground Theo is an absolute sweetheart he is happy to stand tied, loves being groomed and fussed with can be brushed all over good having bath and feathers washed good with fly spray etc. He is good for the dentist, vet, farrier, he is currently barefoot with nice strong feet.

Theo has a fantastic temperament and is a really genuine young horse with lots of potential in the right hands. He will make a brilliant happy hacker/family cob/do well in show ring.

Must already be ridden and has to be over 5 yrs old (RDA rules). Can accept some quirks but must be safe for our disabled riders. They will also have to pass a stage 2 vetting which can be arranged whilst on loan.

We can offer a high standard of care, a light work load so older ages are acceptable if sound.

We have stables but they live out as much as possible even throughout winter. We can offer small herd/individual turnout.

Elmo is a 15h full Connemara gelding who is a smart little horse with a very kind, genuine attitude to life.

Currently he is working sweetly on the flat, in a lovely rhythm, correct soft frame with 3 good paces and a super canter. He will produce a super test.

To jump he is very straightforward, takes you to a fence and will jump off any stride, not phased by fillers etc. he has been xc schooling where he popped round a mix of the 80 and 90cm fences very genuinely, always going even when it was a fence he hadn’t seen before. Super through the water and over the ditches.

Snaffle mouthed at all times.

He hacks out alone and in company and is brilliant in all types of traffic, and doesn’t get silly in open spaces. On the ground Elmo is very friendly, always happy to see you and will quite literally follow you around like a dog!

Currently just shod in front but is brilliant for the farrier.

He is a super little chap who would make an ideal grassroots event horse, or pony club/riding club allrounder as he has the temperament to look after a younger rider.
