Thistle has an amazing temperament – previously an RDA and riding school pony – but is also talented, brave and competitive. She loves her jumping, has won at 70cm, 80cm and 90cm, competed in arena eventing and 70cm hunter trials, and represented South Notts PC in team SJ at Arena UK, Osberton and Notts County Show, gaining team second places.

Over four and a half years, Thistle and my daughter have grown together, enjoying Senior Pony Club camp, SJ, XC, hunter trials, fun rides, arena hires and beach trips. At Camp she earned the nickname “the golden pony” because she never put a foot wrong! 💛

A very attractive, 13.2HH (137cm), 5 year old (2021), bay New Forest Pony. She was backed in August 2025 and has been doing a variety of educational activities since, including hunter trials, hunting, showjumping competitions, showing, lots of hacking, and jump clinics.

She is quiet and straightforward with a lovely temperament. She loves to be groomed and made a fuss of. She lives out but was stabled at night between December and March, so is comfortable being in or out. She has been a lead rein pony for the smallest children and a safe hack for older children and adults. She has given a small adult that works for us the confidence to canter again!!

As we have taken her education slowly, she is competing at 60cm but is a careful jumper and on the lunge has jumped 90cm oxers and produces a good shape over the fence. She has three nice paces and is smart enough to do show/WHP classes in due course and is good to lunge, long rein and lead off another horse.

My daughter (16) has so enjoyed riding her over the past year but how has an apprenticeship with an event rider and can only take one horse. We are looking for an experienced, five star home to continue her education and who enjoys doing all pony club activities, fun rides, hunter trials etc.

She wears a snaffle, is excellent to clip, good with the farrier, always confident to load, travels in both a trailer and horsebox, and currently barefoot. She is good with the vet and up to date with teeth, annual injections, worming etc.

Her wardrobe (rugs, bridle, saddle etc) also available under separate negotiation.

Ruby has been a great pony for us and is only for sale as moving onto horses.

Fantastic dressage pony for someone looking to move up the levels alongside her. We've competed her unaffiliated and she never comes home without a rosette. She has previously been BD registered although this is something she has not pursued with us.

She loves to hack, not spooky and is happy to go alone.

She is a talented jumper, but it's not her preference and she can get strong when doing this so we think she would be best suited to someone looking for a talented, loving pony to enjoy in the white boards.

We adore her, and will be devastated to see her go but with exams approaching unfortunately it is not realistic to keep 2. Homes will be vetted, she will not go to just anyone. Finding Ruby the right home is more important than anything so price could be negotiated to the right home.

He was professionally broken when he was rising 4 and has been ridden by a novice child for the last year.

I have had him for a few weeks and in that time he has had his first jump under saddle, first arena hire, first competition and first cross country school proving to be super straightforward and genuine.

He has 3 correct paces and is starting to work into a contact on the flat.

I am aware no horse is perfect but I don't want anything sharp or spooky and nothing that bolts , rears or bucks , strong etc

WOOTONHEATH GIO (Pixie) is a gorgeous 14.1hh 4yo NF(3/4)xTB(1/4) mare and has been by far the easiest youngster we’ve had to produce and is a delight to have around.

Pixie has proven exceptionally level headed, safe, sane and easy to work with. She’s happily walk, trot & cantering under saddle and is confident and enjoyable hacking both alone and in company, on roads and round the farm. She’s not been bothered by big lorries, tractors or motorbikes etc.

Pixie has loose jumped and wasn’t phased by water tray or fillers etc. and has plenty of scope along with the right brain to go up the levels. I can picture her making a fab event pony!

Edit: Pixie has now started jumping under saddle and is proving confident and willing as expected and is continuing to show how level headed she is over both showjumps & we took her for a play XC this weekend too for her 3rd time jumping under saddle - she took absolutely everything in her stride and was a delight to take out!

Pixie is more than easy enough for a kid to continue producing!

Bertie is 22 and has spent the last 6 years in a riding school. He belonged to a family member who sadly passed away, and we now feel it’s time for Bertie to enjoy a slower, quieter pace of life.

We would love to find him a kind home where he could enjoy some hacking and plenty of fuss, or he would be equally happy as a companion pony. We are not looking for a busy or demanding ridden home for him, he’s done his years of work and deserves to take things a little easier now. He can still be ridden, schooled and even enjoys jumping but all occasionally rather than regularly. If you do try to school him regularly he will put in the odd cheeky buckaroo move to let you know these days are done. It’s nothing wild and easy to sit. My daughter has now figured out when he’s going to do it and so can avoid him doing it but you need to take the time to listen to him.

He would suit a teen or small adult rather than a novice child.

Bertie is easy to do, loads well, is good for the farrier and is barefoot. He respects electric fencing and is good to catch, particularly when there’s a treat involved! He can happily live in or out.

He’s a lovely, straightforward older boy, and finding him a kind, knowledgeable home where he can enjoy his later years is our priority.

4yo New Forest gelding to make 138.

Teddy was backed in April, he was easy to do and eager to learn. He absolutely loved hacking and proved to be very sensible alone and in company walk, trot, canter.

He has free jumped showing serious scope as well as really enjoying it, clearing 120 with ease, so I feel like with the right rider he has the potential to be a brilliant 138 bs pony/ pony club pony. He has popped a small upright with a rider but nothing more as don’t have a rider small enough.

He came on and learnt a lot over a few months so we decided to give him a holiday to grow a bit more as well as the weather being so hot and I had other commitments. He had about a month off and then two weeks ago was bought back in and sat straight on and he was the same as where we left him proving to be very sensible.

Teddy is a really sweet pony to have on the yard, he loves attention and would stand all day to be groomed. Very easy to do in all ways clip, load, etc. The best home wanted for this special pony where he’s going to really shine.

Due to his age he is not suitable for a novice and must go to a knowledgeable home.

Sherlock (Crabswood Zonza) is a very sweet, well bred 4 year old New Forest gelding, he’s 13.3hh and has a little more filling out to do as he matures. He is still young and green but he is a genuinely kind pony with a lovely attitude to life. He is not nasty, sharp or silly and has no history of bucking, rearing, napping etc.

He hacks alone or in company and has been out and about nicely. He has jumped a couple of logs/XC fences out hacking and takes everything in his stride. He is not a plod but also not sharp or silly. He has started doing some small showjump courses and is very willing to learn. He is still green and will need a competent rider to continue his education and bring out his full potential.

Sherlock has a lovely nature. He is super easy to handle and is a pleasure to have around the yard. He’s easy to catch, load, clip, groom, tack up and for the farrier/vet. Professionally backed and broken. No vices and never been sick or sorry. Vaccinated. Lives in or out with mares and geldings.

Sherlock would suit someone looking for a lovely young New Forest to put their own stamp on. He has a fantastic attitude and, with the right education and experience, we think he has a very bright future ahead of him.

We are looking for any breed for LWVTB as they will need to be trialled in our RDA environment before purchasing to see if they're suited to this lifestyle before a participant can ride them. This is as much for the ponies as the suitability for riders.

Must already be ridden and has to be over 5 yrs old (RDA rules). Can accept some quirks but must be safe for our disabled riders. They will also have to pass a stage 2 vetting which can be arranged whilst on loan.

We can offer a high standard of care, a light work load so older ages are acceptable if sound.

We have stables but they live out as much as possible even throughout winter. We can offer small herd/individual turnout.

Lacks confidence hacking alone, although never nasty and isn’t interested in arena work as hunting is his thing! Would really suit a mum who wants to hunt/ hack with her children or someone who usually rides out with friends so he can be with others out hacking. (Fine being left on his own at home)
