A seriously smart and genuine young horse with all the attributes to make a perfect amateur/teenagers event horse.

Diego is a 16.1hh, 5-year-old dun Connemara x Master Imp gelding, imported from Ireland in August 2025. He has an incredibly trainable attitude and is often described as having an “old head on young shoulders” — a rare quality in such a young horse.

He has already started his eventing career with great success, completing two events double clear, and most recently finishing an impressive 4th at Hazleton Manor Cotswold Cup Event.

Diego is:

Very easy and straightforward in all ways

A total gentleman to handle, ride, and have on the yard

A genuine, confidence-giving ride with a willing attitude

An attractive, hard-to-find type with presence and quality

He would be ideal for:

An amateur or teenager looking to produce a horse for 5-year-old classes

Someone wanting a smart grassroots/event horse

A competitive Riding Club all-rounder

This is a lovely, uncomplicated young horse with a bright future ahead — equally suited to someone wanting to produce a quality horse up the levels or enjoy immediate success.
