This handsome, exceptionally well-bred former dressage champion is now looking for an experienced, caring home where he can enjoy a quieter life.

He has stunning paces, impeccable manners and a wonderful temperament. I have owned him for five years, but as I am soon turning 69, I am finding his sensitivity in the arena a little more than I now want for my riding.

He is safe and easy to hack, alone or in company, and is good to hack along with dogs. He enjoys pole work and the occasional cross pole. He would suit a confident, well-balanced rider wanting to enjoy hacking, pole clinics, sponsored rides, riding club activities and simply having fun, rather than pursuing competitive dressage.

He has no vices and is good to catch, shoe, clip, load and travel. Snaffle mouth always. All vaccinations are fully up to date.

Rupert does need thoughtful management and therefore a knowledgeable home. He needs restricted grazing because he had tested borderline EMS in the past, which is now under control. He also has some arthritis which has been successfully managed with treatment and regular physio. Vet history can be requested.

Private sale. References required. The right home is much more important than the price.
